What is a Large Character Inkjet printer?
A large character printer is a specialized industrial device designed for printing text, logos, or codes directly onto various materials in production settings. These printers can produce high-resolution images up to 100 mm in height, including text, logos, and barcodes, on challenging surfaces like cardboard, plaster, paper, pulp, and woo, with a throw distance of 12mm.
How the Large Character Inkjet printer works
The large-character printer uses drop-on-demand technology, which operates on the piezoelectric principle. Ink droplets are generated through electrical impulses that deform piezoelectric material, similar to the motion of a piston in a cylinder. This deformation displaces the ink, which is then forced through nozzles and sprayed onto the surface.
An automatic cleaning system ensures that the print head remains clean, a critical feature for use in dusty environments. Additionally, a spring-loaded holder protects the print head from damage caused by accidental collisions with products. The printer is user-friendly, with operation possible via a touchscreen control panel, tablet, or connected computer. It can also be seamlessly integrated into existing network systems.
